Shelter Sittwe Camp
Project Burma is building shelters for more than 220 Rohingya families in the refugee camps in Sittwe, Rakhine State.
The people there live in catastrophic conditions. Open sewers run through the camp, which is full of rubbish and contaminated with bacteria. The children are in the middle of it all, without shoes, barefoot.
The people have no rights. Access to the nearby town is forbidden for them. No work, no money. Many are without hope. The situation is unimaginable.
We give the people in these refugee camps a little hope. Show that they are not forgotten. 220 families have been given a rainproof and decent home in 28 shelters.
