Tour Hospital Magyizin by Gunver
20-bed hospital nearing completion.
Since 2016, Projekt Burma e.V. has been in the process of building a 20-bed hospital in the Irrawaddy Division. Dedicated midwives care for women and men in the communities, but inpatient treatment and operations, as well as a hygienic birth that is safely attended by a midwife, are not guaranteed. In May 2018, the construction of our hospital is almost complete and our 3rd Chairperson Dr. med. Gunver Werringloer was on site to take a look around and plan the final steps.

"I was able to see with my own eyes how the aid really arrives on the ground - fantastic"
Nino StrauchPhotographer
When I photographed one of the many Rohingya refugee camps near Sittwe through "Project Burma" in 2015, I was able to see with my own eyes how meaningful their help is there.
Please help, because their work, which is carried out with a lot of heart and understanding for the needs in the country, is unique and effective.

High School Thazin
Turning old into new. Sustainable.
The new school in Thazin, in the Bay of Bengal, Myanmar, is light and airy with a free, unusual design by architect Julia Raff, Ackermann+Raff, Stuttgart. The school was planned, built and inaugurated within 18 months in collaboration with the three chairpersons Marion Mück, Tina and Gunver Werringloer. Sustainably built from partially recycled wood from the old school, there is now space for 350 pupils spread over two floors. That is woman power!

"It's great that help is coming to women and children here."
Tine WittlerTV presenter
"Projekt Burma e.V." impressed me with its sustainable approach of helping people to help themselves: all projects are supervised and implemented at eye level with the local people. The focus on education and health in particular is the crucial building block that brings about long-term and sustainable change. And I am very excited about the new project to build a clinic in Magyizin Village! It's great that help is coming to women and children here - and that the problem of maternal and child mortality can be tackled so directly.
Hygiene training from Lena in Magyizin
Knowledge makes you independent and free. Contraception workshops for women.
In February 2017, thanks to the commitment of our active member Lena Schuler, we were able to offer 16 workshops on hygiene, HIV/Aids, sexually transmitted diseases and contraception, basic knowledge about the female body and the female cycle. The target group was women in the communities around Magyizin. The workshops were a long-standing and repeatedly expressed wish of the women there.

Toby's benefit concert in Tübingen
Generating donations with rock and reggae.
In April 2017, a concert was held at Club Voltaire in Tübingen in aid of Projekt Burma e.V., with all proceeds from the ticket price going to the charity.
Toby is a charismatic Australian singer and songwriter who knows how to magically combine rock, reggae and folk with her guitar. We are delighted that the band Toby performed for Projekt Burma e.V.

"It's great that people aren't clicking around here, but doing something!"
Dominik „Dodokay“ Kuhndirector and comedian
At a time when most people prefer to like and share appeals for help on social media instead of simply helping themselves, the Burma project is a beacon of light. Dedicated helpers are at work here "with a hand on their arm" and the money goes straight to where it is needed: To people in need.
Nowhere is the same as in Myanmar: Seeing is believing! As a neighbor of the Magyizin hospital project, I can only say: Hats off!
